VCA Animal Hospital of Plainfield is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Patient Care Team!
Schedule: Part-time opportunity, 10 hour shifts: 7:30 am - 5:15pm

Our Veterinary Assistants play a vital role in supporting our doctors and technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. You are dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animals and client service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting doctors and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Patient handling and restraint
- Performing TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and patient observations
- Administering oral and topical medications as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Preparing and restocking surgical and treatment areas
- Supporting client communication and education
- Maintaining accurate medical records and assisting with discharge instructions
- Providing compassionate care to hospitalized pets
