Role Overview
We are seeking a User Research Intern to support our efforts in understanding patient and caregiver experiences, optimizing our services, and improving digital interactions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about human-centered design, qualitative and quantitative research, and making a real impact in healthcare.
Responsibilities
Conduct user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to gather insights on patient experiences.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist in usability testing for digital tools and patient communication platforms.
Collaborate with therapists, administrators, and designers to implement research findings.
Create reports and presentations to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Support ongoing research initiatives to enhance accessibility and service efficiency.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with tools like Google Forms, Qualtrics, or UX research platforms.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Passion for healthcare and improving patient experiences.

What We Do
Texarkana Therapy Center is a therapist-owned pediatric therapy clinic founded in 2009 by occupational therapist Dorie Pearson, who has over 35 years of experience working with children and families. The center provides pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy as well as ABA services for children from birth through age 21, serving families in Texarkana, Texas and Atlanta, Texas (Cass County). It is proud to be the only therapist-owned pediatric therapy clinic in the region, dedicated to helping children succeed with high-quality, community-focused care.
