Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, engineers, and other business partners to define research goals and objectives
- Develop research plans and methodologies tailored to the specific needs of each project
- Identify key metrics and success criteria for evaluating user experience
- Data Collection
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and other research activities to gather qualitative and quantitative data
- Collect and analyze user feedback from various sources including user research tools, customer support, reviews, and social media
- Data Analysis and interpretation
- Analyze research findings to uncover actionable insights and trends
- Synthesize complex data into clear, concise, and compelling insights
- Create personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to communicate user needs and behaviors
- Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate insights into design decisions
- Advocate and evangelize the user throughout the product development lifecycle
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in user experience research
- Continuously refine research methodologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Share knowledge and mentor team members to foster a culture of user-centricity
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, or related field
- 2-4 years of proven experience conducting user research in a product development environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency with a variety of research methods including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with research tools such as UserZoom, UserTesting, Maze, dscout, or similar
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
- Knowledge of accessibility principles and guidelines
- Strong empathy for users and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
