We are currently looking for a Trading Surveillance Analyst to join our compliance team. This compliance role has a particular focus on monitoring and surveillance activities. You will work closely with the wider compliance team and business stakeholders in a high-performance trading environment, across both traditional finance (such as stocks and derivatives) and digital assets. This role is well suited to someone at the start of their compliance career who wants broad exposure to the function. The role is based in our Amsterdam office.

Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing monitoring and surveillance of trading activity to identify, assess and escalate potential compliance risks.
- Investigate and document alerts generated by surveillance systems and help refine and calibrate surveillance rules and thresholds.
- Build out and improve our surveillance stack, combining third-party tools with in-house developed systems.
- Support the wider compliance team on day-to-day tasks, including regulatory requests, audits, inspections and internal reviews.
- Help prepare compliance reporting and management information.
Requirements
- A university degree, preferably in law, finance, economics or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in a compliance, regulatory or a related quantitative role.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of trading and system data.
- Proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel. Basic SQL and/or Python for data analysis is a plus, as is a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrable affinity with financial markets and a genuine interest in how trading and market structure work.
- Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
- A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to take ownership.
- Comfortable working in a technology-driven trading environment.
- An interest in AI and new technology is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required.

Skills Required
- University degree
- Degree in law, finance, economics, or a related field
