The Role

We are seeking an experienced Tendering Manager to join our Brisbane-based Commercial & Tendering team and play a key role in securing the next generation of Redpath projects.

Reporting to the General Manager – Commercial & Tendering, you will have direct accountability for leading our tendering and work-winning activities, from bid strategy and opportunity development through to submission, negotiation and handover.

Working closely with our Estimating, Operations, Technical, Finance and Legal teams, you will bring together Redpath's underground mining expertise and commercial capability to develop high-quality, competitive and deliverable solutions for our clients.

This is an influential leadership role for someone who understands mining contracting, knows what makes a strong tender and can balance client needs, operational capability, commercial risk and sustainable growth.

What You'll Be Doing

Tendering & Work Winning

• Lead the end-to-end tender process, including bid strategy, planning, team coordination, submission quality and post-tender activities.
• Work closely with our Estimating team to develop competitive, compelling and commercially sound submissions.
• Bring together Redpath's operational, technical and commercial expertise to develop solutions that respond to our clients' requirements.
• Ensure effective bid governance and alignment between what we tender and what our teams can successfully deliver.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movements and emerging opportunities to support Redpath's growth strategy.

Client & Market Engagement

• Build strong, trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients across the mining industry.
• Develop an understanding of client operations, challenges and future project requirements to identify opportunities for Redpath.
• Represent Redpath at client meetings, industry forums and events.
• Support client engagement strategies and strengthen long-term relationships across our markets.

Commercial & Risk

• Partner with Finance, Operations and Legal to ensure tenders appropriately address contractual, commercial and delivery risks.
• Support the development of pricing strategies, contract structures and scopes that balance competitiveness with sustainable project outcomes.
• Ensure commitments made throughout the tender process are clearly understood, achievable and aligned with Redpath's delivery capability.
• Support a strong handover from tender through to project execution following award.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and develop a high-performing estimating and tendering team.
• Foster collaboration across our operational, technical, commercial and corporate functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in our tendering and work-winning processes.
• Build a culture focused on quality, accountability, teamwork and delivering the right outcomes for our clients.

About You

You're an experienced tendering leader with strong commercial judgement and an understanding of how successful mining projects are won and delivered.

You will bring:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in tender management and leadership roles within mining, mining contracting or construction.
• A proven track record of leading successful tenders and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of contract structures, commercial risk and project delivery models.
• Experience working with operational, estimating, technical and commercial teams to develop competitive tender solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with senior clients and business leaders.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capability.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within demanding tender deadlines.
• A collaborative and practical leadership style.
