The Technology Modernization & Innovation SME provides senior-level expertise in technical strategy, software engineering, cloud architecture, intelligent automation, and rapid prototyping within a Federal environment. - Assess technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security and privacy considerations, and transition approaches associated with modernization initiatives
- Lead cloud, platform, application, or solution modernization efforts, including hybrid cloud transformation, software development, and technical strategy
- Advise executive stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable options and shaping scalable, low-risk solutions that align with Government priorities, security expectations, and operational realities
Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of Federal IT modernization, technology management, software engineering, cloud architecture, digital transformation, and/or related experience; 10+ years providing technical leadership for medium or large multi-task projects of high complexity in a Federal environment

- Experience assessing technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security/privacy considerations, and transition approaches associated with modernization initiatives
- Advising executive stakeholders; translating complex technical concepts into actionable options; shaping scalable, low-risk solutions aligned with Government priorities, security expectations, and operational realities
- Experience supporting DHS or other homeland security, law enforcement, or Federal civilian mission environments is preferred
