About ZS Manufacturing Team
At ZS, our Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality practice helps global organizations transform how they design, operate and optimize their manufacturing environments. Our teams work hands-on with clients to connect shop floor data with enterprise decision-making, integrate with legacy systems, and embed intelligent, outcome-driven solutions across manufacturing execution, maintenance, and quality workflows. Whether the challenge is improving yield, ensuring compliance, reducing operational risk, or accelerating the shift to smart manufacturing, we bring deep expertise and purpose-built technology approached to make it real.

What You'll Do :
Engagement & client leadership -

• Lead multiple technology engagements simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery across the lifecycle - discovery, requirements, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing operations.
• Build and manage client relationships across assigned accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for technology initiatives and strategic discussions.
• Partner with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify technology-enabled solutions, and develop roadmaps that support long-term transformation.
• Drive account expansion - identify opportunities, shape proposals, facilitate client discussions and collaborate with internal teams on solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional, geographically distributed teams across India and the US, ensuring collaboration, delivery excellence and alignment across workstreams.

Subject matter (OT & industrial data) -

• Act as the OT subject-matter expert - shape and drive manufacturing and Industry 4.0 use cases across sites and enterprise programs (process monitoring, predictive maintenance, OEE, yield, energy, asset reliability).
• Apply deep knowledge of plant-floor OT and industrial data: sensors and instrumentation, PLC / DCS / SCADA, historians (e.g. OSIsoft / AVEVA PI), industrial IoT and edge, and manufacturing data platforms.
• Design and govern OT/IT data layers and Unified Namespace (UNS) architectures; define semantic models / ontology and contextualization of time-series and equipment data.
• Apply industrial standards and connectivity - ISA-95, ISA-88, OPC-UA and MQTT / UNS - and translate operational needs into scalable data products and analytics.

Delivery & technology (SDLC) -

• Lead end-to-end delivery and the full SDLC, guiding solution architecture, integration patterns, data models and the team's technical approach while staying hands-on as and when required.
• Own estimation, planning, risk, dependency and delivery governance; ensure quality, non-functional requirements and, for validated systems, GxP / CSV validation (IQ/OQ/PQ, RVM traceability) and data integrity.

Change Management & Value Delivery -

• Drive organizational change management, ensuring adoption of new technologies and digital ways of working.
• Build business cases with clear ROI, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality, and time-to-market.
• Lead workshops, training, and stakeholder engagement to foster a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Bring :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Life Sciences or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10-12 years leading client-facing technology, digital transformation or consulting initiatives within a professional-services or technology-consulting environment in the Manufacturing functional area.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and workstreams concurrently while balancing client expectations, delivery commitments and business priorities.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions and guide initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment across multiple locations (India and US).
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, able to communicate with executive stakeholders; fluency in English.
• Client-first mentality, intense work ethic, collaborative spirit and problem-solving approach.
• Deep OT / industrial data expertise: sensors, PLC/DCS/SCADA, historians (PI), IIoT/edge, Unified Namespace, ontology / semantic models; ISA-95, ISA-88, OPC-UA, MQTT.
• Strong technology background: solution architecture, data engineering, Python / SQL, cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP) and integration.
• Life-sciences / pharma manufacturing domain experience.

Nice to have :

• Exposure to Smart Factory, Connected Worker, Digital Twin and Industrial AI initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud industrial data platforms (e.g. Cognite, Snowflake) and streaming (Kafka); OT cybersecurity and data governance.
• Broad exposure across multiple technology domains - enterprise applications, cloud, analytics, data platforms or digital products.
• Demonstrated success identifying, shaping and expanding opportunities within existing client accounts.
