Role Overview

We are looking for a Tech Lead who understands that the most important thing they build is the engineering organization that will outlast any individual feature. As AI dramatically accelerates how much code is produced, the risk is not that we build too slowly. It is that we build too fast in the wrong directions, with inconsistent patterns, compounding architectural debt faster than we can pay it down. You prevent that. You will own system architecture, engineering standards, code quality, and the technical culture that every future engineer at Reejig inherits.

 

What You Will Do

  • Define and maintain system architecture across the Reejig platform
  • Set and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and code quality expectations
  • Design the infrastructure reliability and deployment processes the company depends on
  • Build the AI-assisted engineering workflows that give the team a sustainable velocity advantage
  • Own technical decision-making across backend, frontend, and data systems
  • Mentor engineers and create a culture of quality, ownership, and speed
  • Evaluate and manage third-party dependencies, integrations, and technical risk
  • Contribute meaningfully to the product engineering roadmap from a technical perspective

  • Evidence of setting and holding engineering standards in a high-velocity environment
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools embedded in real engineering workflows
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineers at different levels
  • Strong opinions on code quality, testing, and deployment practices, with the pragmatism to apply them well
  • Comfortable communicating technical decisions to founders and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in startup or early-stage environments where you built culture, not just systems
