The Racquet Attendant serves as the first point of contact for members and guests utilizing the tennis and pickleball facilities. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the racquet complex, assisting with court operations, supporting programming and events, and ensuring members enjoy a welcoming and professional experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Member & Guest Service- Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Assist with court reservations, check-ins, and program registrations.
- Answer questions regarding lessons, clinics, leagues, and club events.
- Promote club programs and upcoming racquet events.
- Maintain a positive and service-oriented atmosphere at all times.
- Prepare courts prior to daily play and scheduled events.
- Ensure courts, seating areas, and common spaces remain clean and organized.
- Set up and break down nets, scoreboards, ball machines, and event equipment as needed.
- Monitor court conditions and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the racquet facility.
- Support tennis and pickleball clinics, leagues, tournaments, and social events.
- Help with event registration, participant check-in, and scoring when needed.
- Assist instructors and racquet professionals with equipment setup and member needs.
- Ensure adequate supplies of balls, water, towels, and other amenities.
- Assist with racquet shop merchandise displays and inventory organization.
- Process member purchases and charges accurately when applicable.
- Maintain organized records and assist with basic administrative tasks.
- Follow all club policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Represent The Club at Tartan Fields in a professional manner at all times.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tennis and/or pickleball is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to assist with setup and breakdown of equipment and events.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Flexible schedule during peak tennis and pickleball seasons.
- Typical shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and special events.
