The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and manage customer infrastructure across networking, endpoints, servers, and cloud environments. This is a hands-on, hybrid role based in the Denver metro area — you’ll split time between remote work and on-site support at CloudHesive Denver and local customer sites. You will participate in incident response, troubleshooting, infrastructure improvements, and automation initiatives across a wide range of technologies, with a strong emphasis on networking and systems administration alongside cloud operations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Networking & Hardware: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches/APs and Fortinet/Palo Alto firewalls. Lead on-site tasks like rack/stack, hardware replacements, and network cutovers.
  • Systems Admin: Manage Windows Server, Linux, and endpoint platforms (Active Directory, M365, NinjaRMM).
  • Cloud & Automation: Support AWS services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3) and assist with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
  • Operations: Drive incident response, performance optimization, and participate in on-call rotations.

Is this role for you?

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in systems/network engineering, ideally within an MSP or multi-customer environment.
  • Technical Depth: Proven hands-on experience with enterprise networking gear and server administration.
  • Location: Must be based in the Denver metro area for required on-site travel.
  • Communication: Fluent English and ability to mentor junior staff.

Desirable:

  • AWS, Cisco, or Fortinet certifications.
  • Knowledge of Containers (Docker/K8s) or CI/CD pipelines.
