About the role
Strategic Analytix is looking for a skilled System Administrator with experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology systems. This employee will manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. They will provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, etc. Provide help desk and escalation problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. They will provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Lastly, the system admin will support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in resolution process.
What you'll do
System Administrator (SA) Requirements
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT Systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration inter dependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Qualifications
- Clearance Level
- TS/SCI level clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
Skill Level 1:
Experience:
- Five (5) year’s experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certification:
- CWIP IAT Level 1 required.
Skill Level 2:
Experience:
- Ten (10) year’s experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certification:
- CWIP IAT Level 2 required.
Skill Level 3:
Experience:
Fifteen (15) year’s experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certification:
- CWIP IAT Level 3 required.
Skills Required

- Ten (10) years experience as a System Administrator (Skill Level 2)
- Fifteen (15) years experience as a System Administrator (Skill Level 3)
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or five (5) additional years of SA experience in lieu of degree
- CWIP IAT Level 1 certification (Skill Level 1)
- CWIP IAT Level 2 certification (Skill Level 2)
- CWIP IAT Level 3 certification (Skill Level 3)
- Experience configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support experience, including problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
- Experience managing client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices
- Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and system administration interdependencies
- Experience performing system capacity analysis, planning, and optimizing system operations
- Experience troubleshooting complex problems with server hardware, applications, and software integration
- Experience supporting dispatch systems and resolving associated hardware issues
