System Administrator -Gilley's

Job Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator of Gilley’s plays a critical role in supporting the technology infrastructure of the casino, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all systems that power gaming operations. This position is responsible for administering a wide range of systems including gaming platforms, surveillance networks, point-of-sale, financial, and back-office IT infrastructure. The IT Systems Administrator ensures seamless operation of servers, networks, gaming systems, and user support services, while adhering to strict regulatory and compliance standards specific to the gaming industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, application management, and cybersecurity, along with experience in gaming or hospitality IT environments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Administer and monitor IT systems including physical/virtual servers, applications, networks, storage, and other related environments
• Provide technical support for all casino gaming systems and digital signage including the integrations between the systems
• Manage system updates, patches, health reports, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting gaming operations or other business processes
• Work closely with Technology team members and other key stakeholders to document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for audits, compliance, and operational continuity
• Define and manage system standard operating procedures and respond to critical system alerts as needed
• Manage backup solutions and participate in disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity
• Act as a mentor to support personnel and remain informed of job-related issues
• Prepare and maintain documentation of server configurations and data center layouts
• Communicate and coordinate schedules, backups, and downtime to the internal business community
• Assist with change management and operational recovery planning and testing
• Work closely with other departments to understand their technical needs and develop solutions
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Support security protocols to protect sensitive customer and business data
• Must be able to deal with high volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat and cheerful
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain a KRGC Gaming License
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience in place of degree
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably in a casino, hospitality, or regulated environment
• Familiarity with gaming systems (e.g., HHR, slot management, player tracking) and casino compliance standards
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments, networking, backup (Veeam, Acronis, Commvault), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cybersecurity
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment with strict regulatory oversight
• Proficiency with databases, server administration, and IT troubleshooting
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Familiarity with industry regulations regarding data security and IT compliance
• Professional conduct and appearance as outlined in the Gilley’s Team Member Handbook
• Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
