Job Description

Summer Internship Program for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

LabN offers paid summer internships for undergraduate and graduate computer science and engineering students who are interested in learning more about new technologies for network control in cloud and specialized operating environments. We offer an opportunity to learn and work on real projects with our team of leading industry experts. 

Program Dates

Summer Internship Programs are 10-12 weeks with a flexible start date mid-May through early-June. (Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.)

    Responsibilities and Expectations

    • Interns are expected to contribute in a meaningful way to active research and development projects. 
    • Intern contributions may take the form of written analysis, designs, software plans, or software development. 
    • Interns will be assigned a project lead to provide direction throughout the internship. 
    • Interns will be expected to provide weekly written status and to participate in status and design meetings on a regular basis.
    • At the end of the internship, interns will provide a written description of their accomplishments and prepare and deliver a presentation on a related topic. 
    • Interns will also be provided with review and feedback about their resumes and career goals.

    Qualifications

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Minimum of sophomore standing in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Preferred courses or knowledge of:
      • Computer Networks
      • Computer Systems Architecture
      • Operating Systems 
      • Software Engineering
      • C, C++, python and/or other scripting languages in a Linux environment 
      • Linux system or networking administration 
    • Good verbal and written communications skills 
    • U.S. citizenship required.
