Summer Intern 2024 (Human Resources) - Hybrid
AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid summer internships to students enrolled in full time undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
As an AmeriHealth Caritas intern, you will learn about the health care industry, our Medicaid and Medicare plans, pharmacy benefits management and behavioral health care - and how we are working to improve access to health care for all Americans. You will also join us in building healthy communities through active service projects that support our mission.
- Candidates must be enrolled in college degree program and have completed the first year of college (rising Sophomore) by the start of the summer internship program.
- Undergraduate candidates must be working toward a 2-year or 4-year degree. College graduates interested in an internship must be enrolled full time in a post-graduate program or professional school (e.g. master's program, law school) at the start of the internship program.
- Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Candidates must have unrestricted work authorization.
- Candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) at our campus in Newtown Square, PA from June 3, 2024 to August 9. 2024.
Responsibilities:
2023 HR Priorities:
- Talent Acquisition: Assess and operationalize a future TA model and redesign onboarding processes
- Culture: Develop a revised leadership model, implement a recognition platform, assess LTI program, and assess and formalize flex guidelines
- Talent Planning & Design: succession planning, banding and titling framework, performance management
- Tech & Compliance: develop HR business needs assessment for long term path for HR tech, manage HR compliance activities
The HR Intern will rotate throughout all HR Centers of Excellence to gain valuable experience across each of the functions including Business Partners, Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS.
Education & Experience:
- Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an undergraduate program.
- Some undergraduate coursework completed related to Human Resources.
- Major in Human Resources or other related majors of study.
- Strong communication skills to effectively correspond verbally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical and presentation development/delivery skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Documented success achieving results with accuracy and precision.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Planning, time management, and organizational skills.
NOTE: AmeriHealth Caritas utilizes a hybrid work environment with associates working from home two days a week, and in the office three days a week. The functions of this position will be performed onsite at our offices located at 3875 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, 19073.
