What you will do
In this role, you will own the strategic sourcing of all Metal components, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product and operations teams to deliver Exponent Enabled Electric Vehicles with 15-minute rapid charging to the market.
Responsibilities
• Drive supplier relationships to deliver supplier partner metrics of cost, quality, delivery & localisation
• Negotiate prices, contracts and on-board suppliers in tandem with new product development
• Drive sourcing projects, and build process capabilities with partners across Fabrication, Stamping, Casting parts and Fasteners, Adhesives.
• Drive should costing for the NPD projects.
• Benchmark cost & quality; identify suppliers, process capabilities, or technologies that will drive productivity
• Drive supplier engagements to further innovation & quality across products
The ideal candidate requires
• Relevant 4 to 5 years of experience with strategic sourcing, metal components
• Structured problem-solving, detail orientation, and customer-first attitude
• Data-driven decision making
