The Role
Own V7 Go, an AI-powered document workflow product for finance, insurance, and real estate. Responsibilities include setting product vision and roadmap, prioritizing customer problems, defining success metrics, making product trade-offs, documenting decisions, and ensuring workflows, Context Graph, and chat operate as a coherent self-serve experience. The role requires hands-on LLM and agent expertise, strong technical collaboration, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.

V7

At V7, we’re building AI platforms that help humans do their best work, at incredible scale and speed. Our mission is to turn human knowledge into trustworthy AI, making complex tasks faster, smarter, and more accurate. We’re growing fast, backed by leading investors and AI pioneers (including the minds behind Transformers and Gemini).

The product

V7 Go is a set of tools for the document-heavy work that finance and insurance teams do every day. Workflow automation for the processes that used to eat whole afternoons. A Context Graph that makes everything a team knows (across workflows, documents and integrations) queryable in one place. Chat for the questions that don’t fit a process. It takes multi-modal data and returns verifiable outputs with transparent logic, so accuracy and compliance come built in, and it runs on the latest models including GPT, Claude and Gemini.

The point isn’t the AI. It’s that an analyst who used to spend three days on something gets it back in an hour, with citations and an audit trail, and can show their working to anyone who asks. Have a look at what we’re building for finance and insurance.

The team you’ll be joining and the impact you’ll have

  • You’ll own V7 Go. That’s the whole product, not a corner of it, working with [X] engineers and [X] designers and with the founders close by.

  • Go 4x-ed revenue last year with 160%+ upsell, and we’re running tens of millions of documents through it for customers in finance, insurance and real estate. What you choose to build next is what decides where that goes.

  • The product does a lot of different things for a lot of different teams. A big part of the job is having a view on what it should be, and being willing to say no to the rest.

  • It’s a small product team, so there’s not much process to hide behind. If something’s broken or missing, it’s yours to sort out.

What you’ll be doing from day one

  • Owning the roadmap. Deciding what gets built, killing the stuff that doesn’t matter, and shipping continuously rather than in quarterly chunks.

  • Working out which problems are actually worth solving. Sales wants one thing, the loudest customer wants another, and the interesting bet is usually neither.

  • Defining what good looks like before anything gets built, then checking afterwards whether it landed. Adoption, not shipped tickets.

  • Making the trade-off calls. What’s in, what’s out, what’s deliberately a bit rubbish for now, and being able to explain why to whoever asks.

  • Writing things down clearly. Decisions, trade-offs, why we said no to something. It’s how a small team stays pointed the same way.

  • Keeping the whole thing coherent. Workflows, Context Graph and chat need to feel like one product rather than three that happen to share a login. Most of the features are self-serve, so if it needs explaining, that's a product problem.

Who you are

  • You’ve owned a product properly, at a startup or somewhere with a serious product culture. Not running a backlog someone else set.

  • You've owned a real product area end to end at a startup or a company with a serious product culture. Discovery through launch, not backlog management.

  • You've built for expert users who know their domain better than you do. B2B SaaS, fintech, insurtech, developer tools, data platforms.

  • You're genuinely hands-on with LLMs and agents. You build with them, you have views on what they're good and bad at, and you can tell a demo from a product.

  • You can hold a conversation with engineers about trade-offs without needing everything translated.

  • You’re happy without much certainty. Priorities move here more than they would somewhere bigger.

  • Opinionated but not precious about it.

V7 champions equality and inclusion because diverse teams build better products. Don't check every box? Apply anyway — we value what makes you unique and will support you through the process, just let our Talent team know how they can help.
