Job Description

This position will function as the financial lead of a Manufacturing Joint Venture located in Saxonburg, PA.

The role will be responsible for all cost accounting and financial functions, and plays a critical role in ensuring controls are in place to protect the interest of the JV's investors.

Primary responsibilities include expense tracking, monthly close, financial reporting, standard costing, GAAP compliance, and preparation of Budgets and Forecasts.

In addition, preparation of Financial Statements, presentations to the Board of Managers, and support of equity investment valuation will be required on a regular basis.

As a member of the CT Crystals, LLC leadership team, the individual will be required to act in a manner consistent with the values, operating philosophy, policies and procedures of Coherent and all laws and regulations that govern our operations.

  • Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Financial and Business Controls

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience; inclusive of the following:
    • Usage or exposure to an ERP system, SAP experience a plus
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel
    • Strong Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies
  • Bachelors in Accounting and/or Finance, CPA preferred.

SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Superior knowledge of cost accounting and standard cost systems
  • Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management
  • Strong managerial, communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in inventory valuation
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and modeling skills
  • Strong practical knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  • Self-reliant, problem solver and results oriented
  • Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Excel, SAP, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
  • Exceptional work ethic

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Requires visits to manufacturing facility. Must be able to travel domestically and globally as the job requires.
