BHS Corrugated North America is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team in Charlotte, NC!
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative team in a global manufacturing environment.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Travel: Up to 20%
Experience: 1–3 years preferred
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
Manage prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and monthly accruals.
Maintain fixed-asset records, depreciation schedules, and construction in process (CIP) accounting.
Post payroll journal entries from ADP and reconcile payroll accounts.
Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and identifying discrepancies.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and intercompany accounting as needed.
Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
Partner with the Tax Manager on tax-related reporting and compliance activities.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
1–3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Experience with SAP and ADP is a plus.
Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across departments.
