Position Summary
The Senior Reimbursement Analyst works with the reimbursement team to prepare annual Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare cost reports for a multi-hospital system; prepares reopening and appeal filings, helps with audit preparation and other cost report settlement activity and related analysis for third party financial statement reporting. Duties assigned are performed under the oversight of the Supervisor of Reimbursement.
This position is involved in many facets of hospital reimbursement including: Uncompensated Care, DSH, GME/IME, bad debt, wage index, 340B, and other government programs.
The analyst helps prepare the computation of third-party contractual allowances and settlements for financial statement preparation during the month-end and year-end close processes.
What you will need
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reporting. Experience with Critical Access Hospitals is a plus.
