TITLE: Sr. Platform Engineer
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Develop infrastructure-as-code to be used by other teams to build and deploy tools, such as Datadog, to monitor production grade systems and applications. Enhance Gitlab pipelines for developers to allow for faster application development and deployment. Provision of secure two-way communications between client machines & Charter servers through code using Gitlab automation. Respond to request for assistance in troubleshooting and resolving issues with network connectivity, system outages, and application availability. Implement changes to Amazon Web Services to support application, network, and database changes. Utilize existing 3rd party tools, such as Datadog and Splunk, to create monitors and alerts which highlight hardware, software, and networking issues. Work with developers and test teams to update Operating Systems for infrastructure. Work with developers and infrastructure teams to install and upgrade third party software. Create useful monitors that provide system performance and reliability metrics. Write and update automated scripts for installation of server software products. Managing and provisioning of Charter applications' infrastructure through code in Amazon Web Services. Develop and implement solutions that provide self-service software and applications designed to support new or existing business initiatives. Create root cause analysis documentation of actions taken during system outages to be used for retrospective and training purposes. Act as feedback liaison for development and operations teams to implement solutions that accelerate and automate the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 2 years of experience utilizing Linux Command Interface to manage Linux servers; utilizing Kubernetes to manage containerized applications; utilizing Terraform infrastructure as a code tool; and utilizing Amazon Web Services to manage cloud infrastructure. 1 year of experience utilizing Datadog to monitor Clusters and application health.
Salary depends on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $88,200/year.
This job posting will remain open until 2024-04-10 and will be extended if necessary.
The pay for this position has a salary range of $88,200 to $156,600. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
