What you'll do:
- Design and implement fault tolerant network architecture that aligns with NIST 800-171 and 53 frameworks
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network, wireless, firewall infrastructure across physical offices and cloud platforms
- Architect and manage Azure cloud networking topologies (Hub & Spoke architectures, Virtual WAN, Azure ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways)
- Support mission operations by ensuring real-time, low-latency telemetry and video broadcast streams
- Use tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate network and firewall configurations
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance of the network environments
- Act as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for networking, cloud connectivity, and performance issues
- Mentor and coach entry/mid-level engineers interested in expanding their skillsets
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and perform root-cause analysis (RCA) for system outages
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of architectural diagrams, deployment processes, and runbooks
What you'll bring:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of professional experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise network infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching technologies
- Experience administering enterprise firewalls
- Experience with TCP/IP networking, including routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP
- 6+ years of professional experience in network engineering
- Experience supporting network infrastructure in aerospace, defense, government, finance, or other regulated industries
- Experience administering Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, Silver Peak, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, RADIUS, TACACS+, IPSec, Multicast, 802.1X, VRRP, or HSRP
- Experience supporting cloud or hybrid-cloud networking
- Experience with NIST/CMMC requirements
- Experience with IaC tools
- Relevant networking certifications
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical environments
