The Senior Electrical Integration Engineer will be responsible for the vehicle integration and industrialization of the Low-Voltage Battery and Wireless Keyfobs for Vehicle Access. This role is critical in transitioning these components from the design phase into high-volume manufacturing, ensuring that suppliers' production processes are capable, scalable, and meet our stringent quality standards.
You will act as the technical link between Product Development (PD), Software, Systems Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure that engineering First Principles are applied and launch timelines are met without compromise. You will conceptualize, design, engineer, develop, and support the launch of next-generation low-voltage systems for electric vehicles.

Responsibilities 
    • Industrialization: Lead the transition of components from design through high-volume manufacturing, ensuring robust and scalable production processes including end-of-line diagnostics, VIN programming, and commissioning routines.
    • Lead Integration: Own the design and functional validation of the low-voltage battery and keyfobs, driving integration and testing across bench, labcar, and vehicle environments.
    • Cross-Functional Development: Develop components in collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Controls, Security, Software, Purchasing and Manufacturing—to achieve objectives within budget and program timelines.
    • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the single point of contact for electrical integration issues across assigned components, providing rapid response and expertise to resolve critical concerns impacting vehicle development.
    • Software Collaboration: Partner with software and supplier teams to develop, integrate, and validate application software, bootloaders, diagnostics content, and OTA-compatible update workflows for assigned components.
    • Launch Support: Support vehicle assembly lines during development phases, validate system-level changes, and drive issue resolution to ensure on-time delivery and smooth production ramp-up.
    • Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control measures, DVP&R strategies, and testing protocols for assigned components.
    • Testing & Debugging: Perform vehicle-level testing and debugging, including data analysis and organizing cross-functional reviews across low-voltage battery and wireless vehicle access domains.
    • Requirements Allocation: Perform detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware, software, electrical, RF, and network specifications with a focus on industrialization and manufacturability.
    • Reporting: Report feature development progress and maturity at key program milestones.

Required Qualifications 
    • B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience working on complex low-voltage electrical systems or electronics design, with a focus on low-voltage battery or wireless vehicle subsystems.
    • 3+ years of experience in a mass-production setting launching new products, specifically involving complex electronic modules.
    • Strong fundamentals in low-voltage electrical systems, automotive network protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet), and diagnostic standards (UDS, OBD).
    • Proven debugging and diagnostic skills across electrical, software, and network domains.
    • Experience with requirements management using industry-standard software platforms.
    • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications 
    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience building and launching automotive products and vehicle prototyping.
    • Experience with RF-based or wireless vehicle access systems and associated regulatory certification (FCC, BLE, UWB, NFC, or equivalent).
    • Familiarity with secure provisioning, credential loading, and cybersecurity requirements for vehicle access or related electronic components.
    • Experience with Failure Mode Avoidance methods such as DV&P, DFMEA, WCCA, and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).
    • Familiarity with OTA update workflows, bootloader management, and in-vehicle software update processes.
    • A systems-based approach to design and development with a drive for exceptional execution and continuous improvement.

Salary Range
    • $130,000 - 150,000
    • The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
