About the Role
Blueland is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to help shape and bring to life some of our most important brand initiatives, from major campaigns and product launches to partnerships, creators, PR moments, and activations.
This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who combines strong strategic thinking and brand intuition with exceptional execution. You’ll take ambiguous opportunities, turn them into clear strategies and plans, and drive them forward from idea through execution.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Director of Brand Commercial Strategy and partner across Creative, Growth, Social, PR, Product, and other teams to build a brand that reaches and resonates with more people.
Strong brand marketing experience is relevant, but it’s not the only path to success in this role. We’re equally excited by candidates from adjacent strategic backgrounds who bring strong brand and consumer intuition, structured thinking, and a demonstrated ability to take ownership and make things happen.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the brand strategy by identifying campaign narratives, content opportunities, and cross-channel storytelling moments that maximize the impact of product launches, partnerships, seasonal campaigns and our sustainability mission.
- Partner with Creative to build impactful visual storytelling across campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinate with owned channels (social, CRM) to keep campaign messaging aligned as content moves from launch through always-on.
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact with agency and PR partners, tracking scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Own key brand initiatives from strategy through execution, including hero creator campaigns, brand tentpole moments and collaborations.
- Evaluate potential creators, partners, agencies, and opportunities and make thoughtful recommendations about where Blueland should invest.
- Partner with Growth to analyze influencer and creator performance to identify top-performing formats, messaging, and audience insights, applying learnings to future campaigns and partnership strategy.
- Drive complex, cross-functional projects forward, bringing clarity to priorities, owners, timelines, and decisions and translate strategy into compelling storytelling and execution.
- Build processes, tools, and templates that make the Brand team more effective and allow successful programs to scale.
- Look for better, faster ways of working using automation and emerging tools where helpful to streamline execution, synthesize information, and to raise the quality of the work.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of experience in a role that required strategic thinking, ownership, and cross-functional execution. Relevant backgrounds may include brand or consumer marketing, strategy, management consulting, partnerships, or other adjacent fields.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own complex projects from an ambiguous starting point through high-quality execution, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional strategic and structured thinking: able to quickly understand a problem, identify what matters most, and turn ideas into clear recommendations and action plans.
- Strong brand and consumer intuition, with a genuine interest in brands, culture, creators, and what makes ideas resonate with people.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to drive multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear briefs, synthesize information, articulate a point of view, and communicate effectively with both internal leaders and external partners.
- High level of initiative and resourcefulness; you proactively identify what needs to happen and move work forward rather than waiting for direction.
- Curious and resourceful about improving how work gets done, including using AI, automation, and other emerging tools to work smarter and more effectively.
- Genuine enthusiasm for Blueland’s mission and for building a category-defining consumer brand.
Location & Salary
This role is open to remote candidates; however, we have a strong preference for individuals based in New York City and able to work from Blueland’s New York office.
