- Analyze next-generation sequencing data ranging from single research experiments to very large data sets reaching correct conclusions based on rigorous mathematical analysis and principles of statistics and probability.
- Research and develop novel deep & machine learning architectures, statistical algorithms and mathematical models for application in genomics within a Python-based infrastructure.
- Lead the design and development of data specification standards and data science business processes
- Collaborate effectively with R&D, production, and clinical teams to build pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data
- Ensure internal processes and metrics are aligned to create the highest product quality and competitive advantage
- Produce clear, concise and correct technical documentation including research reports and algorithm specifications
- Generating ideas to improve existing technology and drive future technology
- Master’s degree / PhD or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, statistics, or similar, with a strong foundation in probability theory and/or statistics.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools, clinical diagnostics workflows or genetic processes
- Expertise in scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems for knowledge and insights extraction from data
- Extensive knowledge in the domains of machine learning, signal processing and related quantitative techniques and theory
- Proficient in Python, bash and scripting fundamentals, including file parsing and data visualization
- Experience with cloud computing technologies (AWS preferred).
- Experience with data management in a regulated environment - a plus
- Independent self-management and organizational skills in setting and executing rapidly changing priorities.

- Strong attention to detail demonstrating accuracy and consistency in tracking and reporting data

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
