About the positionWe are looking for an experienced Squad Lead to lead a newly formed squad responsible for building Personetics’ business-facing application layer, which directly impacts end users.
The role combines hands-on backend development, technical leadership, and strong product thinking.
The Squad Lead will drive engineering standards, improve SDLC processes, and promote the adoption of AI-powered development practices within the team.
This position requires deep backend expertise ability to lead frontend developers, strong system design capabilities, and the ability to work closely with Product, Design to build scalable, flexible, and user-centric solutions that deliver clear business value.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-quality backend services powering user-facing features
- Own architectural decisions and ensure alignment with product and business needs
- Contribute hands-on to development, especially in complex or critical areas
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices and modern SDLC methodologies
- Improve development velocity, code quality, and testing practices
- Mentor and elevate team members, increasing overall squad seniority and engineering standards
- Collaborate closely with softwere architects, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive solutions
- Establish and enforce best practices for code reviews, system design, and delivery
- 6+ years of development experience with backend oriantaion.
- Proven experience in technical leadership or leading engineering initiatives
- Hands-on mindset with the ability and willingness to actively code
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance considerations
- Experience working on user-facing systems and leading frontend developers
- Experience improving engineering processes, SDLC, and development workflows
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead within a cross-functional squad
- Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience leading teams through organizational transitions (e.g., to squads)
- Experience in fintech or data-driven products
- Experience working on SaaS products with a focus on scalability, multi-tenancy, and customer-centric architectureproductivity
- Hands-on experience integrating AI into development workflows
