Genesis is a physical AI research lab and full-stack robotics company on a mission to unlock unlimited physical labor. We're building a universal robotics foundation model that unifies high-fidelity physics simulation, generative modeling, and large-scale real-world robot data.
To get there, we need the best Research Scientists, SWEs, and Robotics engineers, and we're going head-to-head with the top AI labs to win them. It all starts at the top of the funnel: finding the people who aren't looking, and getting them to look.
You're the front line of how Genesis wins talent. The quality of who we hire is capped by the quality of who you put in front of our team, and you'll be early enough to define how we source for years to come: the channels, the playbook, the tooling, the bar at the top of the funnel.
What you'll ownFinding the people no one else can. Source elite Research Scientist, SWE, and Robotics/infra candidates who aren't on the market and have no reason to leave their current lab. Until your message lands.
Sourcing where the best actually are. Papers, GitHub, conferences, citation graphs, communities, networks, not job-board spray. You go find them, and you know how to read who's actually exceptional.
Outreach people answer. Write personalized, credible outreach that earns replies from senior researchers and engineers who ignore recruiters. You're the first impression of Genesis; make it sharp.
Building pipeline that converts. Map markets, build target lists, and keep healthy, calibrated pipelines moving for every active search. Hand recruiters and hiring managers candidates worth their time.
Building the machine. Stand up scalable, well-organized sourcing in Ashby, and automate the parts that don't need a human (list building, enrichment, sequencing) so you spend your time on judgment and outreach.
You've sourced senior, hard-to-win technical talent (engineering, AI/ML, or research) in a competitive market, and have the response rates to show for it.
You can read a technical profile and tell signal from noise: whose papers matter, whose GitHub is real, who's actually exceptional.
You write outreach that sounds like a human who did their homework, not a template.
You think in systems and automation: you'd build an AI workflow than run the same manual search twice.
You're a self-starter who brings structure to ambiguity and moves fast without dropping quality.
You read data well, including response rates, pipeline health, and where searches stall, and you adjust.
You've sourced Research Scientists, robotics, or deep-tech engineers specifically.
You've sourced across UK and France.
You've used AI tooling to genuinely speed up sourcing, and have opinions about what works.
You've been early at a startup and built something from zero.
