Blumira is seeking a proactive Solution Engineer, Post-Sales to serve as a trusted technical advisor for our customers throughout their cybersecurity journey. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting to help organizations successfully implement Blumira's security solutions, optimize their security posture, and realize maximum value from their investment. Working closely with our Customer Success Management team, you'll drive customer adoption, satisfaction, and long-term success through hands-on technical guidance and strategic security consulting
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical implementation of Blumira's security platform for new and existing customers
- Design and Engineer, Post-Sales security solutions tailored to customers' unique environments and requirements
- Provide hands-on technical guidance for integrations with existing security tools and IT infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges during onboarding and provide expert-level resolution
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments and security objectives
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improving overall cybersecurity maturity
- Research and analyze customer environments to identify security gaps and optimization opportunities
- Create customized security roadmaps and implementation plans
- Partner with Customer Success Management to ensure seamless customer onboarding and ongoing success
- Proactively monitor customer health and engagement to identify expansion opportunities and prevent churn
- Identify opportunities for expanding Blumira's footprint within existing customer accounts
- Collaborate with Account Managers to support technical aspects of expansion discussions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders and decision-makers
- Represent the customer’s voice internally to influence product development and enhancement priorities
- Contribute to technical documentation, best practice guides, and implementation guides
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry developments
- Participate in customer advisory sessions and feedback collection initiatives
- Mentor and knowledge-share with team members to elevate overall team capabilities
- Collaborate with security operations and technical support teams to take over reactive support opportunities to ensure that you’re focused on proactive opportunities
- Meticulously document interactions with customers to ensure that we never miss an opportunity to wow them with our efficiency, accuracy, and expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience successfully implementing security solutions
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with focus on SIEM, security monitoring, or incident response
- 3+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Solution Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Security Operations
- Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection technologies
- Deep technical knowledge in the use, troubleshooting, and configuration of Cisco, Palo Alto, Watchguard, and/or Checkpoint firewalls
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework, common IoCs and threats, common SIEM solutions, and common security industry EDR or XDR solutions
- Proficiency with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and compliance standards (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Project management experience with ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and integration
- Robust technical knowledge of common Linux and Windows administration tasks, configurations, troubleshooting, and best practices
- Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and security orchestration tools
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and security automation
- Background working with SMB to mid-market organizations and understanding their unique IT and security challenges
- Experience with customer success metrics, health scoring, and value realization methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
- Strong organizational skills (we love a Type A personality!)
- Ability to self motivate and self educate while remaining collaborative and open to feedback
- Experience in MSP, managed security services (MSSP/MDR), or security consulting environments
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, or vendor-specific security certifications
- Familiarity with syslog, nxlog, and sysmon
- SQL knowledge

Skills Required
