Intuitive Machines is seeking a results-driven Software Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects for flight-critical and mission-critical aerospace systems. This role blends technical understanding, program leadership, and stakeholder management to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the full software project lifecycle from planning through delivery for flight software, ground systems, and support tools.
- Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and test engineers across flight, ground, and simulation domains.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Manage scope, change control, and requirements baselines
- Track progress against milestones, manage risks, and drive issue resolution.
- Report project status, metrics, and forecasts to leadership and program management
- Project Designated Lead: Serve as the primary software point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers. Support all project meetings.
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Agile Development: Responsible for leading bi-weekly software sprint planning with key stakeholders and software platform leads along with sprint kickoff/closeout meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development experience, with 3+ years managing software projects/teams.
- Proven track record delivering complex technical projects on schedule and budget
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)
- Preferred PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Skills Required
