Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a member of our team, you will be sharing responsibility for the continuous development and improvement of Pexip Control Center, a platform that brings configuration management and analytics together into one place for company admins. 

This role is based in our Oslo office in Lilleakerveien, near Lysaker train station, working closely with colleagues in the UK and Norway. Occasional travel between these locations will be required. 

Role and Responsibilities  

Your day-to-day work will initially focus on building new features for our platform, alongside maintaining, debugging, and writing automated tests.
Using our shared design system, you will build new capabilities that provide a cohesive, scalable interface for managing and monitoring for our customer admins. 

You will collaborate with other teams working on the same codebase, as well as working alongside product owners, UX designers, frontend and backend developers. We are looking for someone that is passionate about continuous learning and eager to develop new skills.   

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have:  

• Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. 

• 3+ years of experience building modern front-end web applications. 

• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, plus modern HTML and CSS. 

• Experience working with APIs and automated testing. 

• Comfortable with Git/GitHub and code reviews. 

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 

• Translate designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, high-performance UI. 

Nice to have: 

• Experience with web security, testing tools, and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Familiarity with design systems, Figma, and component libraries, as well as associated tooling like Storybook and Chromatic. 

• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Agents) to accelerate productivity and code quality. 

• Experience with data visualization or charting libraries
  (e.g. D3, Chart.js, or Recharts) 

• Experience with building highly responsive interfaces that aggregate data from multiple APIs and handle high-frequency updates efficiently. 

• A proactive mindset, taking initiative, identifying improvements, and driving work forward.
