As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Asset & Wealth Management, Digital Marketing Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will contribute to the delivery of technology solutions across Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assets in support of the firm’s business objectives through hands-on engineering and collaboration with senior team members.
We are seeking an AEM Developer to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AEM Sites and Assets solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building reusable components and templates, and can contribute to content model design in AEM under established standards. You will partner with Product, Design, and Platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing digital experiences.
Job responsibilities
- Builds software solutions, including design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting to break down technical problems and deliver reliable outcomes.
- Develops secure, high-quality production code; participates in peer code reviews; and debugs issues in collaboration with the team.
- Identifies recurring issues and contributes to automation, monitoring, and remediation improvements to enhance operational stability.
- Collaborates with internal teams to evaluate solution options and recommends improvements aligned to existing platform standards and architecture.
- Participates in communities of practice across Software Engineering; shares learnings and contributes to adoption of new technologies where appropriate.
Supports estimation and sprint planning; proactively raises risks, communicates trade-offs, and follows engineering best practices with guidance from senior engineers.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in AEM (Sites/Assets), component development with HTL, Sling Models, OSGi fundamentals, JCR, and Granite/Coral UI.
- Experience with AEM Assets processing, DAM workflows, and custom metadata schemas.
- Experience with Adobe Target, Analytics, Launch, and common integration patterns across Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Understanding of AEM security concepts, permissions, and workflows; familiarity with upgrade/service pack concepts and multi-site patterns is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals for AEM, including CI/CD concepts, environment automation, and safe deployment practices.
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG), internationalization, and SEO best practices for AEM Sites.
- Familiarity with headless delivery concepts (e.g., AEM Content Fragments; GraphQL is a plus).
- Contributes to content architecture, tagging, and metadata approaches; implements content fragments, experience fragments, and Multi-Site Management (MSM) solutions under established standards.
- Supports performance tuning and reliability work, including caching, dispatcher rules, image optimization, client-side performance, and monitoring.
- Front-end development experience using ReactJS is recommended, along with familiarity with front-end tooling (ES6/TypeScript, CSS/SASS) and strong skills in Java (11+), Maven, and Git.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
