Location: Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; United States (multiple locations)

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of engineering experience
  • Minimum 10 years of aerospace industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of FPGA, ASIC, and/or embedded software development experience for aerospace applications
  • Experience reviewing and assessing airborne software and electronic hardware designs
  • Experience reviewing certification plans and compliance documentation
  • Experience conducting technical and process audits at supplier facilities
  • Experience evaluating software and hardware test results and compliance status
  • Experience resolving safety, compliance, and technical issues with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Experience preparing and reviewing design compliance reports
  • Experience participating in system design reviews
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Thorough knowledge of:
    • RTCA DO-178B/C
    • DO-248B/C
    • DO-254
    • DO-330
    • EASA CM-SWCEH-001
    • EASA CM-SWCEH-002
    • FAA AC 20-115D
    • FAA AC 20-152A
    • FAA Order 8110.49A

  • Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS, JAMA)
  • Proficiency with C, C++, Ada95, Assembly, and Python
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages
  • Knowledge of embedded computer architectures
  • Knowledge of operating systems and real-time executive systems
  • General knowledge of electronics and software development
  • Experience working with civil aircraft and airworthiness authorities
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, accountability, and integrity

Skills Required
