Job DescriptionThe Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic & savvy Social Media specialist to build, attract and interact with our communities across platforms. The objective of the role is to drive customer engagement, the website traffic and revenue by utilizing all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
You are an excellent communicator and creative thinker, with the ability to use both data and intuition to make informed decisions. You would be comfortable in an ‘all hands on deck’ environment, thrive in startup culture, and above all are passionate about the brand and its communities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage hoichoi's social handles and collaborate with multifunctional teams to integrate campaign-specific messaging across channels.
- Ideate and execute programs to drive social conversation including conceptualizing the social content calendar, curating content, editorial copy, planning promotions & contests, etc.
- Cross collaborate and help create micro-content such as social graphics, animated GIFs, and short-form video related to campaigns
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
- Actively collaborate with the Marketing, PR & Category management teams to strategize and implement innovative social media campaigns.
- Assist the team leads in the development of the social strategy as it relates to messaging, engagement, and content performance
- Ensure consistency of brand positioning and maintain hoichoi’s personality and social tone of voice to stay relevant to fans and customers.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
- Undertake social media research to gain deeper insight into online conversations related to the Bengali media & entertainment industry.
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications or any other related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in social media. Preferably from Digital media agency background
- Previous experience in a specialist digital agency or in community management in a fast-paced environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of blogging ecosystem
- Strong project management/organization skills
- Passion for writing and an eye for creative detail
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms. An active presence online with a Klout score rating of 35 or higher
- Excellent verbal and written skills (Proficiency in Bengali is highly desirable).
- Ability to take full ownership of areas of responsibility, and proactively conceptualize campaigns.
This role will be based out in Kolkata.
