Job Description:
1. Skype for Business Server / Lync client support (PC, Mac and mobile)
2. Skype for Business Server / Lync video room systems support
3. Support of Polycom or Cisco Skype integrated devices
4. Support, optimize and maintain Skype for Business Server / Lync infrastructure with high availability
5. Skype for Business / Lync application patching
6. Manage support escalations and drive issue resolution to completion including leveraging of proper processes and communications, working with vendors as required
7. Reporting, monitoring and Analytics – generate reports and monitor UC traffic in real time, respond and react to System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) alerting
Skills Needed:
a. Should have extensive experience with Skype for Business / Lync with Enterprise Voice namely: Experience in Skype for Business / Lync with full Voice and Video integration is highly desired.
b. Experience in utilizing Skype for Business / Lync as a PBX replacement
c. Experience in integrating with Skype Mobile
d. Experience & knowledge in deploying Group / Persistent Chat, Edge Services, Group Federation with external UC platforms
e. Experience in upgrading, installing, configuring Skype for Business Server / Lync
f. Experience integrating Skype for Business Server / Lync with Cisco and/or Avaya telephony
g. Must demonstrate experience working with Exchange, Skype for Business Server / Lync and Voice related technologies
h. Extensive experience with strong troubleshooting capabilities with hands-on technology support, both back-end and user-facing. Able to create options with recommendations for solutions through logic, justification, and rationale with quantifiable risk.
i. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
j. Minimum of 8 years of related IT business work experience
k. Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering required (or equivalent work experience)
