Senior Unreal Programmer

High Voltage is actively seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Programmer to join our rapidly growing Engineering team. As a Gameplay Programmer at High Voltage, you will play a vital role in driving the development of future gameplay features.

Here are some of the exciting responsibilities you'll have:

• Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features
• Use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
• Write robust, understandable code and systems that are designed for long term use and maintenance.
• Improve existing gameplay systems by diagnosing and fixing networking and gameplay issues.
• Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5-8+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine (both in UE4 and UE5) in the gaming industry
• Experience developing games professionally on PC and consoles with shipped titles
• A keen analytical mind, with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong C++ and Epic Blueprint skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
• Strong math skills
• Well versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games (an interest in online games is preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently
• Passion for video games

Salary range: $92,500-$132,500 CAD

*Whilst this position is being offered on a remote basis, we are only able to consider applicants who are currently located in ON.
