Job Description

Forbes Marketplace is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a skilled Technical SEO Manager to help grow our diverse verticals, including personal finance and health.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, start-up-like environment, backed by the stability and resources of a well-established company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical SEO Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure optimal site performance.

• Performance Improvement: Identify strategies to enhance key site areas from a pure technical SEO perspective such as improving Core Web Vitals and Page Speed performance. 

• Technical Guidance: Provide essential advice to our engineering team on various technical aspects like rendering methods, structured data markup, and crawl management.

• Monitoring and Problem Resolution: Continuously monitor site metrics to identify and solve indexing issues.

• Internal Linking Strategies: Develop scalable internal linking solutions.

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data and APIs to create compelling, efficient reports.

• Crawl Budget Management: Effectively manage crawl budgets across different site areas.

• Hreflang Implementation: Ensure correct hreflang setup across multiple CMS platforms.

About You:

• Technical SEO Experience: At least 4 years in technical SEO on a large scale website, with a strong passion for the field.

• News SEO Knowledge: Experience with news SEO, including technical requirements for Top Stories, schema, and image optimization.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Data-Driven Approach: Skilled in using Google Analytics, Search Console, Screaming Frog, and other relevant tools.

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• Web Metrics Expertise: Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, Page Speed, and Lighthouse metrics.

• Schema Markup Proficiency: Knowledgeable about schema markup and its performance benefits.

• Directory Platform Experience: Experience building directory platforms with extensive URL combinations.

• External Tools: An experienced user of Google AppScript, Data Studio, as well as experience building reporting which is robust and answers key business questions.
