THE ROLE:
Working alongside our Strategy team, you’ll have front-row access into our strategic
development process, the activation of disruptive business and innovation concepts,
and rigorous action recommendations, all aimed at helping our client’s embrace new
Stories and embark on iconic Doing.

A creative and strategic thinker who is really into culture, technology and people. A fun,

and undergrad and/or MBA education into a nontraditional venture in the
branding/innovation space.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
· Drive research to inform strategic recommendations: To get to great insights, we start
with rigorous research. As a Strategist, you will work on studying and understanding
markets, brands, culture, human behavior, among many other relevant themes, to drive
strategic recommendations.
· Contribute and learn from a multidisciplinary team: At co:collective you will be part of
a diverse team (Client Engagement, Creative, Strategy, Technology) of “Story” and
“Doing” mavens to develop strategies and creative solutions through collaboration.
· Support client interaction: We believe in working together with our clients to devise
awesome solutions. As a Strategist, you will participate in meetings, interview
presentations, and co:llaboratory work sessions with clients.
· Participate in business development: You will help identify, target, and develop
opportunities that could lead to new project assignments for co:collective. Key activities
will include research, sourcing, and co:ordination of strategy presentations.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
· 2-5+ years experience in relevant industries or environments, such as strategy or
innovation consulting, client-side management, creative or marketing
agency/consultancy.
· Preferred, but not required: completed an MBA program and/or pursued an advanced
degree in a personal passion field (we don’t look for a specific degree but do look for
individuals who have a clear interest in innovation, design, brands, and solving meaty
problems).
· Demonstrated leadership capacity, collaboration skills, and tenacity: we value an
entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
· Learned to synthesize large quantities of data (both qual and quant) to highlight
actionable insights and resulting recommendations.
· Worked under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
· Refined your communication skills (both oral and written).

Skills Required
- 5+ years experience in brand strategy, business consulting, brand planning, brand marketing or product marketing
- Experience leading or supporting 2-3 major brand strategy endeavours (brand story/positioning, brand architecture, messaging, futures thinking)
- Experience across 1-3 disciplines: business strategy, brand strategy, product marketing, sustainability strategy, or futures
- Worked with or for Fortune 500 clients (Fortune 100 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of strategic tools and methodologies for research, portfolio and brand architecture, positioning, messaging, naming, activation, circularity and futures
- Ability to synthesize qual and quant data, stakeholder interviews and third-party data into actionable insights
- Experience running day-to-day project delivery as a senior strategist, including partnering with senior directors
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to write proposals under tight deadlines
- Comfortable presenting and working with senior / C-suite clients
- Interest in new business development and building client relationships
