Job Description

We are currently looking for a

Senior Software Developer

to join our team in

Brossard, QC

.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software operating systems, including, but not limited to development and/or diagnostic software. Participate in the development of test strategies, devices and systems.

  • Responsible for the whole development process from inception to complete of a project
  • Oversees and participates in design and code reviews
  • Provides feedback on more junior staff during performance reviews
  • Provides technical guidance for more junior staff
  • Prepares and leads design proposals to reflect costs, time and alternate actions to satisfy existing and future needs
  • Prepares and leads development of technical feasibilities in order to finalize project schedules
  • Designs, writes code, completes programming and performs the testing/debugging of PC software applications
  • Develops methods, metrics techniques and evaluation criteria for products, processes and staff

Qualifications

Qualifications

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE:

Education requirements

  • University Degree with 5 years related experience or a minimum of 8 years related experience with a High School diploma or relevant certificate in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent).

Experience required

  • Windows and Networked System software development experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in WEB programming.
  • Minimum of 2 years in-depth use of MS Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of C#
  • Knowledge of .NET programming

Qualifications

  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Strong coding skills in C++, C#
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming techniques and languages
  • Design specifications, test plans and structured design principles
  • In depth understanding of software analysis and design techniques
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
  • In depth understanding of wired and wireless communications protocols, networking protocols
  • A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation

Assets

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Studio 2010
  • Knowledge of C/C++
  • ASP.NET, XML, XSL, ADO.NET, jQuery, Java, JavaScript, Linq to SQL, XHTML, MSSQL, WCF, WWF et Web Services knowledge

Languages

  • French and English
