As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll take a leading role in shaping the quality strategy within your team and contribute to improving testing practices across the engineering organization. You will act as a trusted quality partner for developers, product stakeholders, and fellow engineers, helping teams make informed decisions about quality, risk, and release readiness.
Beyond implementing tests, you'll help define how we approach quality throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture to Continuous Delivery. You'll drive scalable automation practices, challenge existing approaches when needed, mentor others on testing topics, and help create an engineering culture where quality is a shared responsibility.

{ your_responsibilities: [- Own and continuously evolve the team's quality and testing strategy, aligning testing activities with product risks, architecture, and delivery goals.
- Act as the team's go-to expert for quality engineering, guiding testing approaches, testability, automation, and quality-related technical decisions.
- Design and evolve scalable test automation solutions across component, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end testing, with a strong focus on backend systems and APIs.
- Ensure test readiness across environments, infrastructure, test data, mocking, service virtualization, and system dependencies.
- Partner with developers and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to identify risks, clarify requirements, improve testability, and prevent defects early.
- Analyze complex test failures and production defects, support root-cause analysis, and use quality metrics and testing insights to identify systemic issues and support informed release decisions.
- Drive Continuous Testing and quality engineering practices within CI/CD, while mentoring engineers and sharing effective testing patterns and practices across teams.

{ following_qualifications_would_be_in_line_with_our_desired_profile_for_this_position: [
- Strong knowledge of testing principles, test design techniques, risk-based testing, and modern quality engineering practices.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation solutions for backend systems and APIs, covering approaches such as component, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Solid programming experience with Java, Kotlin, or comparable technologies, applying good software engineering practices to build maintainable test automation.
- Experience testing distributed or service-based systems, including dependencies, asynchronous processes, failure scenarios, and root-cause analysis.
- Good knowledge of SQL, database validation, test environments, test data management, mocking, and service virtualization.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Continuous Testing, with the ability to use quality metrics, observability, and risk to support technical and release decisions.
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical decisions, and driving improvements across teams, plus openness to developing skills in areas such as mobile QA.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with some of our testing tools is a nice to have, but not required: XCUITest, Espresso, Serenity, Playwright...

Skills Required
