The Role
Lead delivery of a complex, multi-team CRM implementation with integrations and dependencies. The role combines hands-on project execution—schedules, deliverables, risks, decisions, follow-ups, and content validation—with executive communication and synthesis for steering committees and senior management. The project manager must influence without authority, anticipate risks, work iteratively, accept feedback, and continue an established direction without redesigning the project. Salesforce experience is preferred.
Summary Generated by Built In

This is a replacement of the consultant currently assigned to the CRM project: needs have evolved and the client is now looking for a different profile. The role is to support and secure delivery, not to overhaul the project: the person understands the given direction and executes it. The profile must work on two levels at once, diving into content (validating information, following up, reworking deliverables) and synthesizing complex issues for managers and senior management. Large-scale CRM implementation experience is central, with Salesforce preferred but not exclusive. The persona places as much weight on behaviours as on experience: openness to feedback, flexibility through iterations, anticipating risks rather than observing them.

Target candidate: a senior project manager who has led at least one multi-team CRM implementation with integrations, ideally on Salesforce, and whose resume shows direct contribution to detailed deliverables. The person also shows documented interactions with decision-makers (steering committees, senior management) and works in continuity with an existing direction rather than questioning it.

Key Requirements:

  • Senior project management on complex CRM implementation mandates (multiple teams, integrations, dependencies)
  • Strategic and executive communication with managers and decision-makers
  • Hands-on tactical leadership (structuring, organizing, following up, challenging, moving work forward)
  • Command of schedules, dependencies, risks, decisions and commitments, with mitigation scenarios
  • Political skill and influence without hierarchical authority
  • Openness to feedback, autonomy, rigour, flexibility

Requirements

DESIRED

  • Salesforce experience
Profiles to Exclude:
  • Profile whose recent mandates focus mainly on recovering troubled projects (recovery, turnaround), without demonstrated delivery of a project taken over mid-course without redesign.
  • Profile positioned only in program direction, strategic PMO or strategy consulting, without demonstrated responsibility for detailed deliverables (schedules, follow-ups, content validation).
  • Profile whose described role is coordinating project managers or a delivery team, without direct contribution to deliverable content.
  • Profile without demonstrated experience in iterative contexts (agile or hybrid cycles, successive deliverable revisions).
  • Technical Salesforce profile (administrator, developer, architect) without project management responsibility.
  • To probe in interview, not observable on resume: response to feedback and stance toward given direction.
