Hanwha Vision America (HVA), formerly known as Hanwha Techwin America (HTA), is an affiliate of the Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. HVA is an industry-leading provider of advanced network video surveillance products, including IP cameras, storage devices, and video management systems founded on world-class technologies. We offer end-to-end security solutions and have achieved global success across various industry verticals, including retail, transportation, education, banking, healthcare, hospitality, and airports.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Senior Product Manager to own a portfolio of high-impact initiatives that keep our cloud services trustworthy, compliant, and well-run. The ideal candidate combines product management discipline with strong program execution, thrives in ambiguity, and has a proven ability to drive distributed engineering teams across time zones to deliver complete, high-quality results.

This is a unique, cross-functional role. Your products will span customer-facing trust experiences, such as our service status website and maintenance notifications; our firmware and software update service for cameras and applications; and the internal programs behind them, including privacy, GDPR, and SOC 2 Type II compliance. You will also lead special projects as business priorities evolve. The scope will grow with you, so we are looking for someone who brings structure to undefined problems and follows every initiative through to closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Status & Customer Communications: Own the roadmap for our public status website, including real-time service health, incident history, and proactive email notifications that inform customers about planned maintenance, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Firmware & Software Update Service: Own the product strategy and roadmap for Hanwha Vision’s unified firmware and software update service, a platform for securely delivering cloud-based updates to cameras and applications. As the accountable Product Owner, define the requirements, business case, and priorities in partnership with Cloud Engineering and HQ R&D, including staged and percentage-based rollouts for standard releases, immediate fleet-wide pushes for critical and cybersecurity fixes, and version-aware upgrade paths that tell customers which update to take from their current firmware.
  • Security Update Strategy & Release Quality: Drive the security-update strategy so Hanwha can respond quickly to critical vulnerabilities and CVEs in line with regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Track adoption and support-call metrics to judge release stability and decide when to expand a rollout.
  • Compliance Programs (SOC 2 Type II & GDPR): Drive cross-functional readiness for SOC 2 Type II audits and ongoing GDPR compliance by coordinating control owners, tracking evidence, closing gaps, and keeping programs audit-ready year-round.
  • Privacy Policy & Legal Partnership: Partner with Legal to maintain our privacy policy and related customer-facing terms, translating requirements into product features, data-handling practices, and clear documentation.
  • Special Projects: Lead high-priority, often loosely defined initiatives from discovery through delivery: framing the problem, aligning stakeholders, defining success metrics, and driving execution.
  • Requirements & Specifications: Write clear, complete requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that leave little room for interpretation, especially for teams working across languages and time zones.
  • Global Team Leadership: Drive engineering teams in India and South Korea to predictable, high-quality outcomes through clear priorities, regular operating cadences, rigorous follow-up, and constructive feedback.
  • Execution & Reporting: Maintain roadmaps, project plans, risk logs, and status reporting, and build dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into progress and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management, technical program management, or related experience in SaaS or cloud services; video security or IoT industry experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, or similar compliance and privacy programs, ideally including direct work with auditors and legal counsel
  • Experience with cloud-based firmware update delivery, IoT or device fleet management, or vulnerability and CVE response is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a track record of driving work to completion without dropping threads
  • Proven success leading offshore or distributed engineering teams, ideally in India and/or South Korea, to deliver high-quality results on schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and regulatory topics to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure, priorities, and measurable goals to undefined problems
  • Familiarity with status page, incident communication, or customer notification tools (e.g., Atlassian Statuspage) is a plus
  • Flexibility to attend late-night meetings with stakeholders in South Korea and India, where you will lead discussions, provide updates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in their time zones
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required, up to 20%

  • Hands-on experience with SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, or similar compliance and privacy programs
  • Experience working directly with auditors and legal counsel
  • Experience with cloud-based firmware update delivery, IoT, device fleet management, or vulnerability and CVE response
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a record of driving work to completion

  • Flexibility to attend late-night meetings with stakeholders in South Korea and India
