Our three ecommerce platforms: Dafiti (LATAM), ZALORA (SEA) and THE ICONIC (ANZ) connect an assortment of international, local and own brands to a market of 800 million consumers from diverse cultures and lifestyles. GFG’s platforms provide seamless and inspiring customer experiences from discovery to delivery, powered by art & science that is infused with unparalleled local knowledge. About the Function

Help customers discover products they’ll love - even when they don’t know what they’re looking for.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the recommendations and personalisation arm of Datajet, GFG’s global discovery platform powering Dafiti, ZALORA and THE ICONIC.

Recommendations are not a single feature or placement. They connect customers with relevant products throughout the customer journey, from their first visit and browsing experience to product consideration, basket and repeat purchase.

You’ll set the strategy for these experiences, deciding where recommendations can create the most value, what customers should see and why. This means understanding customer intent and context, balancing familiar preferences with fresh discovery, and translating those insights into scalable product capabilities.

Working closely with data science, analytics and engineering, you’ll shape how we use AI and machine learning to make recommendations more relevant and useful. You won’t need to build the models yourself, but you will need to connect customer problems, technical possibilities and commercial outcomes.
Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager for Datajet - our global discovery and personalisation platform, what you’ll own

  • Recommendations strategy and roadmap: Define the vision, priorities and sequencing for recommendations across three regions, balancing shared capabilities with local customer and business needs.
  • Customer relevance and context: Understand how intent, preferences, behaviour and the stage of the journey should influence what we recommend—including when little is known about a customer.
  • End-to-end experiences: Identify where recommendations can help customers discover, compare, complement or return to products, rather than treating each placement in isolation.
  • AI and machine-learning product development: Partner with data scientists and engineers to define problems, hypotheses, data requirements and evaluation criteria, translating model capabilities into valuable customer experiences.
  • Discovery and experimentation: Combine research, behavioural insights and controlled experiments to test assumptions, learn quickly and guide investment.
  • Customer and commercial outcomes: Define success measures and own improvements in relevance, engagement, conversion and commercial performance—not simply feature delivery.
  • Cross-region alignment and adoption: Work with regional product, commercial and insights teams to prioritise opportunities, challenge conflicting requests and coordinate rollout and measurement.

What Success Looks Like...

  • A clear recommendations strategy grounded in customer needs, with a prioritised roadmap that explains where we will invest and why.
  • Experiences that respond to customer context and connect people with relevant products while helping them discover more of the assortment.
  • Strong collaboration between product, data science and engineering, with clear hypotheses and shared accountability for outcomes.
  • Measurable customer and commercial improvements, supported by robust experimentation and evaluation.
  • Shared capabilities that regions can adopt effectively, with room for meaningful local differences.

What does it take to succeed?

  • Experience owning and improving recommendations, personalisation or closely related data-driven consumer products.
  • Strong strategic thinking: You can turn an ambiguous opportunity into a clear direction, make deliberate trade-offs and explain what not to pursue.
  • Customer judgement: You can reason about what someone would want to see, in which context and why, and test that reasoning against evidence.
  • Experience working closely with data science and engineering, with enough understanding of AI and machine learning to challenge assumptions and discuss capabilities, limitations and trade-offs.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation skills, including the ability to distinguish engagement gains from meaningful customer and business value.
  • The ability to translate complex problems into clear requirements and deliver incrementally without losing sight of the broader strategy.
  • Clear, persuasive communication and experience aligning stakeholders across teams or markets.

What we offer

  • The unique opportunity to have a serious impact on a well-established player in the fashion ecommerce industry across LATAM, SEA and ANZ
  • Valuable experience as the business navigates a dynamic and evolving market landscape
  • Work closely with a diverse and talented global team across 11 countries
