We’re seeking a proactive and experienced senior product manager to play a crucial role in advancing the overarching mission of our core platform team. This mission is centered around empowering our utility customers to efficiently manage their distributed energy resources at scale, with a primary focus on enrollments. Beyond delivering value directly to users at utilities, this PM will also be instrumental in supporting the success of various solutions and other squads. Reporting to the Director of Product, this position involves collaboration with stakeholders across the company, including other product managers, engineers, data scientists, sales, solutions engineering, client success, and strategy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver a roadmap for your area that prioritizes strategic initiatives for maximum business impact across R&D, Partnerships, and GTM teams.
  • Own the entire lifecycle of features and experiments, from problem and solution discovery to validation across multiple workstreams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and data science, to design and deliver solutions that are valuable, usable, and feasible
  • Prioritize product opportunities by leveraging insights from analytics, user research, market insights, and input from cross-functional partners. Guide the team based on these priorities.
  • Effectively communicate product choices and results to various audiences
  • Advocate for the user and translate these needs into product opportunities to develop a product vision aligned with business goals.
  • Balance long-term bets with short-term improvements, optimizing for speed of learning and time to impact
  • Bring a fresh perspective to our team, offering suggestions we haven’t considered, pointing out problems that need to be solved, and helping us move forward in our mission
  • Take a leadership role within the team by modeling PM best practices. Mentor junior team members to foster their growth and development.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven ability to break down complex problems into incremental product solutions and a track record of delivering demonstrable business impact 
  • Strong level of ownership toward product success
  • Have basic knowledge of software fundamentals including architectures, APIs, and data structures with a willingness to learn project-specific concepts
  • Demonstrated experience aligning and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and a proactive communication style
  • Ability to think strategically and make tough prioritization decisions
  • Analytical abilities to frame the impact of your work
  • A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and driving positive environmental impact

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with enterprise SaaS products
  • Background in the energy technology or IoT space
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with modern grid management and planning tools and frameworks

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
