Guardian Agriculture Reaps $20 Million In New Funding

SUMMARY:
Do you want to make a tangible, positive, impact on the world? Would you like to get into a growing company on the ground floor and be a key player that makes a significant difference across the business? 
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our product management team to drive the design of key aspects of our flagship product. In this role, you will lead key product initiatives from concept through launch and beyond, focused on user experience (UX) and AI. Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with customers and partners across the US, South America, and Europe, you will define product requirements, ensure a strong voice-of-customer is represented in design and development priorities, build a comprehensive understanding of feature functionality, and drive clarity, alignment, and enablement.
Your role is pivotal, ensuring that our key customers' needs are understood and translated back into our development roadmap. You will report directly to the Chief Product Officer while working closely with a scrappy, seasoned team of innovative engineers, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs.
Your responsibility will be to bridge the gap between technology and business, fostering collaboration among engineers, designers, sales team, and product marketers to ensure that our spraying systems.
What You Will Do:

  • Build and execute a product roadmap. Develop, document, and clarify the problems the product solves for a roadmap. Ensure work aligns with company and customer priorities. Maintain a prioritized product backlog and plan product releases.
  • Leverage quantitative data and user research to prioritize work. Determine user requirements and prioritization leveraging both user research and product insight that includes major component / subsystem design decisions. This includes prioritizing work from sprint to sprint and maintaining a backlog of tasks in collaboration with tech, program, and commercial teams. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder priorities and the interdependencies of our solution. Become familiar with the needs of your customers and stakeholders, technical architecture and features, and how to effectively communicate about those things across our company.
  • Put customers first. Be the voice of the customer and prioritize the needs of users throughout the delivery process, in partnership with the business and product development teams. 
  • Travel: Be open to occasional travel (up to 20%).
  • Study product characteristics or customer requirements to determine validation objectives and standards.
  • Develop validation master plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, or standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports or design statements, based on results of validation and qualification tests or reviews of procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct validation or qualification tests of new or existing processes, equipment, or software in accordance with internal protocols or external standards.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding compliance documentation or validation results.
  • Prepare, maintain, or review validation and compliance documentation, such as engineering change notices, schematics, or protocols.
  • Recommend resolution of identified deviations from established product or process standards.
  • Design validation study features, such as sampling, testing, or analytical methodologies.
  • Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems.
  • Resolve testing problems by modifying testing methods or revising test objectives and standards.
  • Direct validation activities, such as protocol creation or testing.
  • Coordinate the implementation or scheduling of validation testing with affected departments and personnel.
  • Participate in internal or external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles, industry trends, or novel technologies.
  • Assist in training equipment operators or other staff on validation protocols and standard operating procedures.

To Be Successful You Will Have:

  • BS in Engineering (computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering)
  • 4-7 years of Experience working in fast-paced B2B software environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and definition in the presence of ambiguity (self-starter)
  • Proven experience launching and delivering a technology product.
  • Ability to plan/review architectures, technical designs, test strategies, test cases, etc.
  • Proven leadership experience


Nice-to-Have:

  • Hardware experience (significant value, although not required)
  • Familiarity with agriculture, drones, or aviation
  • MBA or related professional experience
