The RoleWe’re hiring a Senior Product Engineer to help build Elm AI's core product and agent workflows.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who is both deeply technical and strongly product-minded — someone who can move from architecture to implementation to UX decisions, and who cares about building software that is not only powerful, but clear, fast, and durable.
You should be highly fluent in modern software engineering, but also opinionated about what great engineering looks like in an AI-native world: how to design systems that work well with agents, how to build fast feedback loops, how to use AI tools meaningfully in development, and how to keep quality high while moving quickly.
We’re looking for someone who can help us shape both the product and the way we build it.
What You’ll Do- Build and ship product features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and agent-driven workflows
- Design clean, scalable systems and make strong architectural decisions
- Work closely on the core product experience, not just the implementation details
- Improve developer velocity, product quality, and internal tooling
- Contribute to how Elm uses AI-native engineering practices across the stack
- Identify high-leverage opportunities and move toward them without waiting for perfect specs
- Help raise the bar on craft, clarity, and execution across the team

Working Style & Time Overlap
This role is remote, but it requires overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
Today, that typically means:
- Daily standup is around 8:00 PM IST
- We generally expect at least 4 hours of overlap.
- In practice, this usually means availability until around 11:30 PM IST

Skills Required
- Strong full-stack software engineering skills (frontend and backend)
- Experience designing clean, scalable systems and making architectural decisions
- Experience building or integrating agent-driven workflows or AI-native systems
- Proven track record shipping product features end-to-end and owning product outcomes
- Ability to improve developer velocity, internal tooling, and product quality
- Product-minded with strong UX and product experience focus
- Availability to overlap U.S. Eastern Time (≈4 hours overlap; availability until ~11:30 PM IST)
- Side projects, prototypes, open-source contributions, or technical writing
