The roleYou'll lead product design at Refractal, covering the operator console, policy authoring, investigation and audit views, and the design system behind them. Your work will shape how security, risk and compliance teams find and respond to AI threats.
What you'll doDesign core workflows, including policy authoring, real-time triage, investigations and audit reporting.
Turn dense technical data, such as agent activity, detections and evidence, into clear, fast interfaces.
Build and maintain our design system in Figma, and work with engineers to ship it in React.
Run research with security analysts, compliance leads and engineers at customer organisations.
Shape our brand and website visuals with our content and marketing lead.
Core console workflows have been redesigned, shipped and measurably improved for analysts.
A design system is in use across the product, with engineers building from it directly.
Customer research is a regular input to product decisions.
5+ years of product design for B2B or technical products, with a portfolio of shipped work linked in your application.
Strong interaction and visual design, with expert Figma skills in components, variants and prototyping.
Experience designing data-heavy tools such as dashboards, consoles, and developer or security products.
Comfort working directly with engineers, with a good grasp of front-end constraints.
Confident use of AI tools in your own design workflow.
Design experience on security, observability or compliance products.
Front-end prototyping in code.

What We Do
Refractal builds security infrastructure for high-assurance AI, helping governments and enterprises test AI agents before deployment, protect them in production, and meet compliance requirements. Its software monitors agent activity and enforces policies at the point of action, evaluating tool calls and data access and recording tamper-evident audit trails. The platform integrates with existing telemetry and observability tools and helps detect AI-enabled threats across models, tools, and workflows.
