Sr. Principal Technical Program Manager

Description

Consumer Product & Innovation (CP&I) partners with Nike’s product creation engine across innovation, merchandising, creation, and commercialization. As Sr. Principal Technical Program Manager, you will be a core member of the CP&I extended leadership team. You will translate strategic investments into business outcomes, own end-to-end delivery of complex technical and strategic programs, and lead planning and execution across engineering teams and stakeholders globally.

What You Will Do

Own the integrated delivery portfolio for CP&I’s most critical programs, from strategy and planning through launch and value realization. Lead quarterly planning and dependency alignment across business and technology leaders and drive enterprise tradeoff decisions to resolution. Establish the governance, metrics, and executive reporting that give leadership a clear view of progress, risk, and business value. Represent the TPM organization in leadership forums, and coach program managers across the organization to raise the bar on how they work.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a leader who translates enterprise strategy into an integrated portfolio of business and technology outcomes. You have a proven record of owning execution across an organization’s most critical programs and ensuring investments deliver timely, measurable business value. As an individual contributor, you will lead through influence rather than direct authority: partnering with engineering teams, shaping technical decisions that keep delivery on track, and aligning senior business, technology, and operations leaders around shared outcomes, critical decisions, and enterprise tradeoffs.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned program leader who combines technical depth, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience leading digital and technology transformations. You bring breadth across multiple technologies and depth in key technical areas, and you have demonstrated success in agile, program-based operating models. You will serve as the single point of contact for programs from PHK and partner closely with peer program managers in other geographies to deliver program outcomes. You build trusted relationships across functions to align strategies, and you are a strategic problem solver who can prioritize multiple competing demands while driving plans to execution. You are ready to operate as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of Technical Program Management or product experience, including 5+ years leading multi-team, enterprise-scale programs across multiple technology platforms and business areas.
  • Track record of challenging the status quo constructively and driving lasting changes to processes, operating models, or ways of working.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, results-oriented matrixed environment.
  • Delivery experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including leading scaled, multi-team planning such as quarterly PI planning and cross-team dependency management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading beyond your own programs, including mentoring program managers, and shaping organizational.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture, including service-oriented and cloud-native solutions, with the judgment to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and their impact on delivery.
  • Executive-level communication and influence, including strong oral and written communication, building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners to deliver key strategic initiatives, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa, and presenting concise recommendations, risks, and tradeoffs to VP and SVP audiences.
  • Relevant experience in Retail, Consumer Product Development, Innovation, Supply Chain, and Operations preferred.

We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed. If you discover, as you navigate our application process, that you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please complete the Candidate Accommodation Request Form.
