Our Team
The Biddable Marketing Department comprises a number of Teams advertising across a range of different digital marketing channels; these include Paid Search and Display (advertising on Google & Bing etc), Paid Social (Facebook & Instagram), Native (native platforms like Taboola), as well as a Marketing Innovation Team to support testing & a Creative Services team. We aim to create precisely targeted campaigns to engage positively with our customers. As a member of our team, you'll need strong analytical skills and a keen eye for picking through data. We have a strong culture of creativity, too; you'll be able to try out almost any campaign idea you can think of. With over 5 billion impressions a month, you've probably seen our ads somewhere around the internet.
The Role
As a Senior Search Marketing Manager, you will possess extensive knowledge and experience of performance marketing, and will be accountable for a portfolio of campaigns in Paid Search. Your primary objective is that these achieve their target metrics. To deliver this you will both manage high priority campaigns and manage a team of Biddable Marketing Executives, Senior Executives and Specialists. This will involve supporting them during their training and personal development, ensuring that they are working on the highest priority tasks, ensuring quality control, refining processes, and managing performance as required. You will then work with your team to set up relevant tests, overhaul strategies, and implement your own data-driven ideas to improve campaign performance. You will manage a portfolio of campaigns directly yourself (the scale of which will relate to the number of direct reports you have.)
As a Senior Manager, you will be part of both the Functional Leadership Team and the Commercial Leadership team within the Global Home Subdivision. You will be proactive at spotting opportunities and take a leading role in driving initiatives forwards. The role involves managing internal senior stakeholders; including presenting at strategy meetings, providing performance updates, and generating support for new strategies being tested to generate growth or drive margin improvements. You will manage relationships with representatives from the platforms that you work on, championing value-adding innovations that they bring.
The Senior Manager role is a reflection of competence, scale and complexity. Possessing at least a year's management experience you will be a role model for good leadership, consistently living the Senior Leadership traits. You will likely manage more senior members of the team which will include SEM Specialists. You will be accountable for a large and complex campaign portfolio.
You will also play a key role in the Functional leadership team, supporting the Marketing Principal closely on key initiatives to drive capability forward, including operational excellence process development and execution, martech & supporting our Academies.
Responsibilities

  2. People Management; You will line manage a team of Execs, Senior Execs, and Specialists. You will be responsible for the personal development of the people you manage, including performance management and salary review and will provide ongoing feedback and support as required.
  3. Portfolio performance management; you will be accountable for the portfolio performance of all campaigns within your team, setting strategy and prioritising workflow with your team to ensure campaigns scale where possible and hit their target metrics.
  4. Campaign Management; You will be expected to manage a number of priority campaigns directly, which will be related to the number of direct reports you have. You will be highly competent in all the skills required to do this including all the technical side of running campaigns (tracking, targeting, bidding, platform utilisation) through copywriting and ad creation. You will have an up-to-date and innovative understanding of both Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. You will aim to sustain / improve performance goals of marketing campaigns through effective strategies in line with MVF commercial goals.
  5. Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management: You will possess and grow a Strong network, both internal and external to MVF. You will agree and communicate and priorities with Marketing Operations and other key stakeholders.
