Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network security infrastructure to protect organizational systems, data, and communications. This role provides advanced technical leadership in firewall management, intrusion prevention, VPN technologies, secure network architecture, and cloud security integrations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise-grade security solutions from Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks.

Job Requirements:

Solution Deployment:

· Lead the deployment and implementation of Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto security solutions (Firewalls, EDR, NDR, NAC, SIEM, etc.) based on customer requirements.

Customer Interaction:

· Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary technical point of contact during and after the deployment phase.

· Provide expert-level guidance on product capabilities, security best practices, and troubleshooting.

System Design & Configuration:

· Assist customers in designing and configuring security infrastructure that aligns with their business needs.

· Perform detailed system assessments, network assessments, and perform design recommendations.

Product Knowledge & Training:

· Stay up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and advancements in Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto security technologies.

· Provide internal knowledge sharing and train junior engineers and customers on product capabilities.

Documentation:

· Create comprehensive documentation for security solution deployments, configurations, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.

· Provide customers with detailed as-built documentation.

Performance Tuning & Optimization:

· Continuously monitor and fine-tune the deployed solutions to ensure optimal performance, stability, and security.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

· Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, ensuring that solutions meet customer requirements and expectations.

Security Audits & Assessments:

· Conduct periodic security assessments, vulnerability scans, and compliance checks, ensuring deployed solutions meet industry standards and best practices.

Post-Implementation Review:

· Lead post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of deployments, identify areas for improvement, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

· Provide advanced post-sales support for security solutions, ensuring smooth deployment, integration, and optimal configuration.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex security-related issues for customers.

Key Skills & Experience:

Experience:

· 5-7 years of experience in supporting, or implementation of security solutions, particularly Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

· Hands-on experience with EDR, NDR, Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), NAC, Email Security, WAF and SIEM solutions.

· Experience in troubleshooting, configuring, and supporting security solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Certifications:

· Cisco certifications (CCNP Security or higher preferred)

· Fortinet certifications (NSE 4 or higher preferred)

· Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSE or higher preferred)

· Additional security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISA are a plus.

Communication Skills:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams effectively.

· Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

· Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network and security issues.

· Ability to think critically and deliver timely solutions under pressure.
