Our Potential Opportunity  

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Wellhead and Skids Solutions team. This role is pivotal in supporting Modular Skid Packages, Wellhead Control Panels, and Pressure Regulation Systems to enhance the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas systems. What You’ll Lead and Deliver 

• Execute and review FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for mechanical static and rotating equipment, piping, and packaged systems.
• Design pressure vessels and storage tanks to client specifications and applicable codes, including ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, API 650, and API 620.
• Perform and review piping stress analysis per ASME B31.3, B31.8, and B31.1, including flexibility and stress reports, nozzle load checks (WRC 107/297), and pipe support load calculations.
• Review shell-and-tube heat exchangers (TEMA), pumps, and compressors.
• Lead design reviews of packaged skids, covering piping stress, structural integrity, and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Approve material selection for piping, valves, equipment, and structures based on process conditions, operating environment, and industry standards.
• Support piping layout, instrumentation interfaces, and fabrication to ensure constructability and design intent.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Prepare technical bid evaluations and vendor comparisons; support proposals and tenders as required.
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors, resolve technical clarifications, and review vendor documentation.
• Witness and support FAT, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and skids.

Project Controls & Leadership

• Review change orders and assess their technical, cost, and schedule impact.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for the mechanical scope.
• Lead and mentor mechanical engineers and designers, and drive inter-discipline coordination.

Preferred

• Rotating equipment experience (pumps and compressors, API 610/617).
• Gulf / Middle East project experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams on EPC projects.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 

• Master's or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
• Hands-on experience in piping stress analysis and design reviews.
• Aspiring candidate must have 5-6 years of hands-on experience with static and rotary equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors.
• Gulf experience would be preferred.
• Must have an experience in integration & commissioning of mechanical equipment (skids is preferred).
• CADWorx, CAESAR II, STAAD Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD.
