The Senior Manager Project Controls and Operations Support is an Operations role responsible for supporting daily project management across Taurus Industrial Group’s South-Central Region. This role helps project teams maintain current job work in progress (WIP), track physical progress and costs, resolve execution issues, and deliver complete, accurate documentation so jobs can be invoiced promptly.
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President – South Central Region, this position supports the General Managers of the Freeport, Golden Triangle, and Louisiana P&Ls and works directly with Project Managers, Site Managers, field supervisors, coordinators, and Project Controls personnel across crafts and business lines.
The role is separate from the Finance FP&A business partner position. It owns coordination and follow-through on operational project controls and billing readiness; Finance retains ownership of financial planning, consolidated forecasts, P&L analysis, and accounting. General Managers retain P&L accountability, and Project Managers retain responsibility for project delivery.

- Standardize practical job startup, progress tracking, cost review, documentation, billing handoff, and closeout processes while accommodating customer and contract requirements.
- Work with Operations, Billing, Purchasing, Commercial Operations, and Finance to remove recurring process bottlenecks and improve use of company-approved systems.
- Capture lessons learned from cost overruns, documentation gaps, and billing delays; implement improvements and verify follow-through.
Operations own operational job tracking, follow-up documentation, and coordination of corrective actions. Project Managers approve execution assumptions and remain accountable for delivery. This position supplies supported project estimates and source records to Finance rather than maintaining a separate financial reporting or FP&A process.
The Finance FP&A business partner owns business unit financial analysis, annual budgets, consolidated financial forecasts, scenario modeling, and management reporting. The role does not independently approve changes to contract scope, pricing, budgets, capital expenditures, or customer commitments outside delegated authority. It does not approve accounting treatments or replace General Manager, Project Manager, Finance, or Billing authority. Project Controls personnel may report directly or functionally to this position based on organizational and project requirements.
